The Natural health centre is not only a centre for beauty and physical health but also a place to come to invest in your emotional well-being. On this page you will find details of the therapists who provide counselling, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy. Whether you are seeking support for a current problem, looking to get help with a longer term issue that has trouble you; or whether you seek support in overcoming an emotion or behaviour that impacts upon your life, our therapists are available to support you through your difficulty.
PSYCHOTHERAPY will help an individual to dig deep to the root cause of a personality, behaviour or situation.
COUNSELLING is suitable for anyone looking for short term therapy (usually six sessions), often for a specific problem or issue, or for general feelings of stress and anxiety. Through talking with a third party, thought processes can be triggered and alternative response and solutions discovered.
HYPNOTHERAPY explores the subconscious mind, opening the mind up in a very relaxing and gentle way. It can be a powerful and effective means of resolving phobias, stress, habits and behaviours as well as more general issues.

Lucy Ferguson: Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist
Ad. Dip. PC MNCS (Acc), Cert Hyp. CS, MA (Hons)
I am a qualified counsellor, psychotherapist and hypnotherapist with an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and a Certificate in Hypnotherapy Skills. I am an Accredited member of the National Counselling Society and the National Hypnotherapy Society.
There are lots of different ways of approaching problems, issues and aspects of lifestyle, so I will always work with the client and their specific story, feelings and concerns. I always appreciate that at first it ght not be easy to open up to someone you don’t know, and my priority is to provide a relaxed and comfortable space which is safe and completely confidential. Any kind of therapy is a journey in which I will work hard to guide, reassure and support each client as they work towards solutions or changes, or simply have a place to come and talk to a non judgemental listener.
Hypnotherapy: In hypnotherapy, I work with the subconscious mind to help you overcome habits, behaviours and negative emotions. I can help you improve your self-esteem and self-confidence. Hypnosis can be very effective and powerful, working at a deep level but in a gentle and relaxing way.
Whether it’s counselling or hypnotherapy, or a blend of both, it can be a positive, uplifting experience to improve aspects of your life and, essentially, get to know yourself better.
Please call or email me, or contact the centre for an initial free 15 minute consultation or to book an appointment.

Psychotherapy or shorter term counselling is a place where you can find perspective and insight. Throughout our lives we will all experience periods of difficulty. This may be linked to an event such as the end of a relationship, trauma or a bereavement. Sometimes though there is just a general sense of unhappiness. Psychotherapy can help you stay in the present moment and use our awareness of what arises as a gateway to understand difficulties from the past and hopes and fears about the future.
Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, BA (Hons) Counselling and Psychotherapy, MNCS (Accred), MBACP
Hello, I’m Philippa Davey, a fully qualified and experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor. I work with adults and teenagers aged 16+ on a long or short-term basis.
My qualifications include: BA (Hons) Counselling and Psychotherapy; Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills; Advanced Certificate in Creative Therapies.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and an accredited member of the National Counselling Society (NCS)
As a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor I work with a number of different psychotherapeutic approaches and tailor therapy to suit your individual needs. My approach is open, non-judgemental and encouraging – it is important that you feel comfortable and able to explore your emotions freely. However, therapy might not always be comfortable. In order for significant change to happen there are times when you will need to move beyond your comfort zone, and therefore, when appropriate, my approach can be challenging. That said, therapy is led by you – you decide what you want to explore and what you want to achieve and we work together at your pace.
Depending on the issues you want to address, therapy can be short-term, mainly solution-focused where we look at developing strategies and providing the tools you need to help you handle your emotions effectively. Or it can be more in-depth, longer-term therapy where we explore the past to identify the root causes of your current emotional issues. This will help you to make sense of how you are feeling and why you may adopt certain behaviours. It will give you insight into how you interpret the world and other people and how this affects your thoughts and emotions. With this greater self-knowledge we continue our work together developing the solutions needed to achieve the outcome you are looking for.

Polly Royle, Counsellor and Psychotherapist,
MBACP, BA (Hons) Person-Centred Counselling, Dip Person-Centred Counselling
Hello and welcome. I’m Polly, a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My experience over the years has helped clients from a variety of ages with a wide range of issues some of which include people who are in crisis, relationship problems such as divorce or separation, family difficulties/relationships, bereavement and loss and issues relating to the pressures of living in a world driven by social media.
In recent years counselling has included helping students studying with A-levels and degrees. My work with clients focuses on creating a supportive therapeutic relationship, offering a safe and calm space where you the client, can share difficult feelings and emotions. The relationship formed with clients is an important and beneficial component. A relationship where my clients feel heard, no longer fearful or ashamed, ‘held’ but not trapped, noticed but not judged
In this space the client’s mind can settle and hope can follow. There are no expectations about how you should be in the counselling room; the only aim will be to work towards your personal goals and seek out positive change.
I have experience of working specifically with client’s suffering from trauma and loss and have also worked in primary education and children with moderate learning difficulties. I hope to bring warmth, care and support to my practice and a knowledge of the challenges that individuals face whilst supporting others with issues or, that they are suffering from themselves. Working with clients I hope to find the balance in their life either personally or professionally, whichever they are looking for.
