I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist, providing effective, confidential, evidence-based psychological therapy. I offer assessment and treatment for individuals over the age of sixteen, and couples.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and am a chartered member of the British Psychological Society. I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I am also a trained Behavioural Couple Therapist.
With twenty years of experience in providing psychological therapy, in a variety of settings within the NHS and privately, I have had the privilege of meeting and supporting people with a range of needs, ranging from mild to more complex.
The difficulties I have helped people manage and overcome have included: stress, depression, anxiety difficulties such as panic, generalised anxiety / worry, phobias, health anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief and traumatic bereavement, low self-esteem, anger, experiences of physical, emotional, psychological and sexual abuse, relationship difficulties, problems with emotion regulation and self-injury, bipolar disorder, and psychosis.
I accept referrals from self-funding individuals and couples and I am registered with most major private health insurers, including Bupa, AXA PPP, Aviva, PruHealth, Cigna, Simply Health, Healix, Allianz Partners and WPA.
