Find a better balanced posture

In an upright posture the average weight of an adult human head is 10 -12 lbs (around 5 kgs.) and is balanced on 7 vertebrae and supported by 20+ muscles.

In a slouched posture with flexed neck and resulting forward head position, the head weight multiplies by a factor of 2 to 3, and this increase of 20 -30 lbs (9-13 kgs.) loading is now to be taken on the joints and muscles, overtime can lead to neck strain & pain.

Just pick up a watermelon and hold it a few inches in front of you, to appreciate how hard the neck has to work in a poor posture.
